13 foot Gheenoe they are fiberglass but super stable but if you plan on putting a trolling motor on them you will have to register with SCDNR.

Depends on the bed length of your truck. Canoe is 16 feet long. I use a support that is mounted in the hitch on the truck that extends from the rear and helps support the canoe. Unless you carry it on the top of truck.Quote:

Back in 1979 the wife and I purchased our first 17' Osagian aluminum canoe for fishing. It was wide and stable. We used a 5 HP gas motor or electric motor when possible. It paddled easily for shorter runs. Three adults bass fished on a small electric motors only lake without any problems. We also fished the local creeks with this set up. I could fish standing up or bow fish without any issues. We sold this canoe and had 2 others (can't remember the brands) that we didn't like so sold them and bought another 17' Osagian. We still have it but we're getting too old to use it. :peacesmile
