Going out tomorrow
I am planning on afternoon fishing wither Lake Russell or Clark's Hill.
As a newer fisherman for crappie any suggestions on technique?
Should I just use jigs or jigs and minnows?

We have caught some up the SC little river pulling 1/16 oz tipped with a minnow. Look for fish out in the main channel and if showing up at 10 ft or less then use a 3/16 and if 10 to 20 then 1/16 and possible a 1/8 oz. made a ride up Murray yesterday to look around and everybody was tight lining. Both will catch fish this time of year and depends mostly what you like to do. Hope this helps

I would try both ways and see what gives you the better response especially if you are long lining. Good luck!
