As some of you may remember, there is a small lake next to my house. I posted that some big fish came out of it , along with a couple of 3lbs slabs back in spring! Micorps and I have been talking about giving it a try for crappie. He drove Up to the mtns last night and me , him and my son Luke got on the water at daylight. Took us a while to find any fish but we ended up with 12 crappie and about that many yellow perch. Crazy thing is, the first keeper was a 17” monster slab my son caught! I plan to get a replica mount made of this one. Thanks Tim for coming up and showing us how to catch them !
