My son is wanting to go camping the latter part of next week and stay at the Wateree State Park. I'm thinking about taking my boat. Does anyone have any reports on the water condition. Is it still high and muddy, in the upper part. I'm guessing that it might be a little cleared in the lower end.

Mark 1:17 ...I will make you fishers of men
Very muddy top to bottom and more rolling down river. Warm weather should push them to the upper third of the lake.
Still muddy yesterday, alittle cleaer in the coves
Whoa I just realized you said Wareree! When I see GComer, next thing hits my brain is Broadwater.

Broadwater will be forgotten me, since it's been a while since I've able to get in there. It's been flooded for a while, but is starting to come down a little.

I haven't been fishing since about mid December. I'm not sure which end of the rod to put the lure on, it's been so long. Steve's wanting to go camping and fishing this weekend. So I may go then. Been, changing the oil in the motor and the foot today. All of my mojo will be gone, I know the boat isn't trained to catch any. All of the marks on the side where I did catch fish have worn off now. We both need to get back in shape.

lower end was muddy yesterday, tried tightlining deeper cove on brish in 25 fow and caught a couple but was slow, slow, slow, decided to longline coves and didnt do anything, dipped jigs in spike it and caught big cats and striper, 1 crappie. If i did it over would be longlining beaver creek with 1/16 in front of bridge or 1/32 behing bridge in front of restaurants and marina. Water warming and believe crappie should be staging for shallows. Nothing deep where i was catching them in 38 fow.
