Easley Combined Utilities has opened a new landing on Saluda lake. It is on the Easley/pickens side of the lake and cost's $5 to launch or you can buy an annual pass for $35(runs July to June). It is under video surveillance. I have never fished Saluda due to the other landing being on the Berea side and too small to launch the big toon but this new landing is less than ten minutes from my house. I have searched high and low for info on crappie in this 331 acre lake but can't find anything other than they are there. It looks like I'm going to be the guinea pig when fall rolls around. Quite a few people bass fish it and they have weekly tournaments. A few people also fish for catfish from what I've read. But crappie? I'm on a mission for some slabs this fall.
