My buddy Joe that lived in Oregon recently relocated to Southport, NC. I drove up Tuesday to visit and do some salt water fishing. Unfortunately the prolonged warm weather has slowed the movement of fish into the bays. Have not caught much so far but there is a wonderful seafood market here that has really fresh seafood. We enjoyed Shrimp and Pink Snapper so far. All grilled to perfection by my host.
Hope we get some better action soon but regardless it has been great visiting and exploring Southport. It looks like a town still in the 50s. Beautiful old oak tree lined streets and most homes date back 50 to 100+ years.Dinner my first night We caught these with a silver hook at Potters Seafood and grilled them at Joes house.
