Met up with CBNC at Buster Boyd ramps around 7:20 am and set out for some catfishing. He was kind enough to let me ride and learn. Found bait pretty quick and got ready to set up and off we went to catch some catfish. Found bait and cats hugging bottom and we dropped lines in and started our drift pattern. We drifted for a while before we hooked up only catching a couple little ones. Drifted farther down the river channel and finely hooked a bigger fish. Then we moved farther down and set up again only to get a couple more fairly good fish. Moved back up river and got a few more . We managed to get 12 catfish ranging in the upper 6 to 11.5 pound fish. No big ones to brag about under CBNC standards but I felt pretty darn good about the ones I reeled in. I have to say this man knows his fishing. I had a great day learning how to rig and what to look for. It will take me some time to get the hang of it on my own. But the next best thing was that I can have another trip when time permits. Thanks Mathew for a great day on the water with you. Truly a gentleman and good company!![]()
I'll try to up load some pictures tomorrow after work.![]()
