Me and rcmoon took off to Lake Blalock last night and just as we dropped the boat in the water the skies opened up and we got soaked. We headed for a nearby bridge to wait the rain out and immediately started catching fish. The rain lasted about 30 min as did the bite, as soon as the rain stopped the bite did as well. We left the first bridge and made a 15 min trip down the lake to a deep water bridge and tried it a while, no luck. Ronnie did catch a nice shell cracker while there though. It'd go maybe 3/4-1lb.
About dark we went to Buck Creek and tied up tossed the lights out. Bite there was slow but steady.
Wound up catching about 35 fish total. Big fish was about 13", and a few 10-12" with lots of smaller fish.
We had a good time catching and fellowshipping. All fish were caught single pole using jigs of varying colors. No one color outshined any other. -- Rob
