    Default Lake Wylie 6-22-17

Uncle Remus gave me a call Wednesday night and said he was ready to go Thursday morning if it was not raining. We were meeting at 7:00 am. He was bringing a youngen ( Perch Fox) along so we could start teaching him the ropes on Perch Jerking!!! We got Perch fox all set up and then Uncle Remus set up. I was just getting ready to bait up and Perch Fox reeled in his first of the day!!!! Man he is a quick study!!! Of course the weather man said no rain till afternoon!! But by 8:00 it started to rain. We decided that we could get a little wet as long as the fish were biting. By 9:30 we were almost out of bait so we started using cut bait. Remus rigged up a cat fish rig for Perch fox. The grand total was about 125 perch, 6 slimy cats, 5 green carp. (released to catch another day) By 10:45 it was raining harder so we decide to call it a day!! We had a banner morning on the water! Perch fox is chomping at the bit to go again. Thank you Uncle Remus for letting me tag along. I think Remus will be posting up some pictures of our trip soon.
Thanks micorps thanked you for this post

Thanks for sharing and for training up our future fishermen !
Sounds like a great trip and a lot of fun catching a load of perch even if you did get a little damp.

Always good to hear the young ones enjoyed the day. Sounds like a good time pulling in a lot of fish.

That's what it's about right there, just as you said old friends taking new friends fishing. Thanks for sharing the trip and the PICTURES! I'm sure the young fella is truly chomping at the bit to go back. Just one question, the last picture are you showing off Fishfinder8 fish OR are you showing off the stash of PLIERS in the cup holder. ? You got enough in there to have a set on each corner of the boat plus some!😃
