I'm still kicking, haven't fished in a month though. Vacationed in California for 10 days, then been renovating the exterior of the house the last three weeks. All this made possible due to damaging my outboard after hitting a stump. lol Goes to show no matter how well you know a body of water, be a little careless and you will pay the price. I have insurance on the boat, and it is expected to be repaired the first of next week. Even though I had a kick up jack plate, when I hit the stump it over extended the hydraulic piston cracking the housing. The tiller handle also cracked the cowl. To replace both items the cost is 2,400 dollars! Thank goodness for insurance, and a low deductible.

Glad to hear you're still out there. My boat has an extra seat any time you want to make a trip! Been catching a few!

Hate to hear of your motor problems Ink. My motor has been down since Feb after hitting a stump while on the Hill fishing. I know you will feel good to getting her wet again. Hope you had a good West coast visit on your vacation.

Thanks Stump. First time flying in a long while. It was a great trip, the wife and I enjoyed every bit of it except the traffic. California is nothing like I expected it. Just beautiful, mountainous, and quite cool temp wise. And yes, I am chomping at the bit to get back on the water. I hate hearing of your misfortune as well. Hopefully you'll be back on the water catching before too long.
