The water don't get that hot ever.:fish
It dont get to hot here! I catch them all year, put 60 + in the boat yesterday by my self and gone at 1:30 pm. They have move out away from the bank, 2 weeks ago I was catching them in 10 to 12 feet near brush, yesterday they were no crappie in those areas, they were in 16 to 18 feet near the channel and with in 2 feet of the bottom. they are working there way back out, they will be on brush in 20 feet soon.
I'm with Butch on this one! Don't give up and stay on the move with the fish. There's a lot of good crappie fishing to be had all the way into July. Normally for me, late July and August ain't worth fishing. It's smoking hot and the fishing ain't near as good as the other 10 months of the year. And the fish you catch are normally poor. That's not always the case, but that's just mostly what my experience has been. Come Labor Day, things are back on!!!
