Thread: New kid on the block

Had the pleasure of taking a veteran and his 5 yr. old out on a little night stalk on Wylie last night. Things didnt go exactly as planned but we got a few fish in the boat. Met up with SSRE18 and his crew over in Big Allison.Stevie and Griffin along with Brad and Jack. Setup in 27 fow. Had not got setup good before my new fishing buddy Caleb was on fish. A nice keeper to start. We fished on and he put 8 in the tank before he called it a night. We stayed on for a while catching a few and chunkin a few. The game was throw your perch in the other boat. Anyway called it bout 11:30. Back at the ramp we counted and had 14 nice keepers.I think the other crew had about the same count. Not to bad but a fun night for the guys. Plenty of throw backs and bunch of perch. Not the best night ever but we found a few. Caleb and Gary are ready to try it again. Wont be long for sure. Thanks Gary for your service to our country. Keep the kid fishin !
