Sounds like a worthwhile trip and your new gear works well. Thanks for the report. I've never fished Greenwood but want to someday.

I put in at the Citgo Landing about 7:00AM and motored to below Bridge on Harris Landing side of Lake. Really wanted to stay out of main boat traffic especially in early fog.
I have purchased a new trolling motor and depth finders thus really checking out equipment and trying to longline. I landed 9 fish, largest was 11-inches. As others recommended dark colors; mine was June-bug with chartreuse tail (Kalin Grub Style). The water was 15- foot transitioning up to a submerged point on the upstream side of point and believe I was running about 7-feet deep. I suspect these were scattered females, they were not fat.
I stayed in this area till 10AM then crossed to opposite side of Lake and proceeded to Twin River area. Boat traffic picked up thus I left. Very pleasant morning!
Have to work on some flats to understand my depth/speed/jig size ratio. I normally spider rig.
I was pleased that the Citgo Landing was not full, I may try to go late afternoon this week.

May the Lord bless you and keep you.
May the Lord make his face to shine upon you, and be gracious to you.
May the Lord lift up his countenance upon you, and give you peace.

Thanks for the report. Greenwood can look like I-85 sometimes with the traffic.
Good catch and a good trip checking out your new toys
Thanks for the Greenwood report.

Glad you caught some. It has been slow at the Wood lately.
