    Default Wateree 3/8/17

Headed down to Wateree this morning after work this morning and ended up having a decent day. Didn't start fishing till around 11 and the action was fast, picked up 6-7 nice sized crappie within the first hour and a half. Slowed down after that and tried a few new spots with any luck. Caught a total of 19 and brought home 11 with the largest around 12inches and 1 3/4lbs. Tons of boats out when we first got there and seemed to thin out as the day went on. High was around 75 with minimal wind except a few time. Surface water temp 59-61 degrees. first catch with the jigs I made
    also broke a rod.....

Looks like you were pushing the boat with the rod...not a good idea.

Looks like they are putting on that good color too. Hope to try them Friday and see if some of my ole places might still work.
