    Default Lake Russell last night

Me and my daughter had a decent night catching fat mamas on Russell. She made it til 0100 and I held the captains spot till dawn. Crappie never bit that great, but they were steady. Used minnows under lights and it seemed I had to vary depth often. Caught 16 and kept 14. 12 of which were very nice ! Had what I assume was a striper hit about 3am. Would have spooled 150 yds of line but I tightened down and broke him off. Fun for sure ! Water temp 62.9 at 9p.

Now that's the stuff memories are made of! Sounds like nirvana; especially that sun rise after high quality young one time.

where's the pic of the daughter sleeping? you can always embarrass them that way! LOL great time with the kids is always precious, good for you. That's what I plan on doing, putting lights on the pontoon and fishing at night just because we can.

you will not believe how quick you can pickup the rod tip moving early mornings and thru out day once you paint the tips white !!! how I did mine was go 12 to 16 inches down the rod and tape around the rod and paint from the tape to the tip !!!!
