I installed my spyderlok yesterdayand couldn't wait, so I saddled up and headed to Greenwood. I did everything that Don taught me (he ties a much better loop knot than I); he is my sensei. Fished down the reedy and up the saluda. Ran into white bass first; caught 4 with 3 on at once. Then the crappie started around 1:00. Caught five; this is the best of the group.
I thought not bad for first fishing in 16 years and never longlining before.
I tried to find common factors with the only thing in common on all 9 fish was I was moving down wind. Is there anything to that?
I am now addicted to the point I'm headed back tomorrow.
