Headed back down to Wateree tomorrow. Probably put in at Clearwater cove. Going to start out striper fishing to keep the wife happy, but also taking the crappie rods. Hopefull switch over about lunch to them. Anybody catching any? If so how deep and how far back in the creeks? They were in about 20 fow on Highrock lake last weekend about 15 or 16 foot down. Wondering if they are about the same on Wateree? If you see a red Carolina Skiff with T-top come on over and say hi.
Thanks for any info.

Supposed to be a strong w/sw wind tomorrow. Make make loading at clearwater cove in afternoon difficult. Was thinking going out sunday.
You were right Micorps. We started out striper fishing and finally caught one 8 lber. Decided to try longlining and the wind came in. We could not hold the boat steady enough. Even had a tough time at the ramp about 1 trying to load with the wind. Oh well at least caught one.
Tim knows the nuances of that lake, I believe coming from the big lakes up north has taught him well when it comes to wind. Glad you caught something, crappie will be on everywhere soon.
Yeah gave it a try and caught three crappie until i called it quits before noon. Maxing out minnkota and still got pushed backwards. Today was alot better and found a new honey hole. Had 3-4 over two pounds, let all but five go today.
