    Default Longlining at night?

    Anyone ever try it?
What would it take to set up?

Read on here somewhere to record your tracks in daylight to run at night. Guess you would want lights to watch for floating hazards too.

I have tried when making the transition, from daylight to total darkness and maybe just me but felt that the crappie moved into shallow water as darkness set in.

It can be done, you will need enough light to watch all rods. One reason for the lights at night is to attract baitfish. Some nights I have no baitfish but still catch plenty some nights there are tons of baitfish and I don't catch much! I know guys who drift at night, no anchors, and I have done that a couple times. It can work
