fun day on lake murray

Me and a good friend went to lake Murray today. ended up with 20 nice crappie. mostly caught on brush piles. tried pulling jigs for almost two hours and all we got was a 19 and a 20" striper. anyway great weather; good friend; cleaned them up right after going home and ended up with 3 quart freezer bags of filets. not too bad. last week we kept 16 that weighed just over 20 pounds. had a couple of really nice slabs in those.

Sounds like a good trip. My last two trips to Murray were a bust, but a friend of mine told me they killed the crappie last Saturday pulling jigs, then casting to the schools when they found them.
I may try it again next week. I am going to take you up on that cool one, by the way.
