fishing coveralls?

Seen a few of you fishing in the winter with coveralls on, looks like a full zipper?, easy to take off if it gets warm.
What do you guys like , recommend? getting out of the long underware fishing attire,

Brett, there are many kinds of coveralls. The insulated bib type are the easiest to get on and off with zippers on the legs for the boots to slip through easier. Same for the coat with insulation with a hood is hard to beat. I like my gloves insulated and large enough to get on and off easy, they are from the Duluth company. "Hint" My good suit is from Cabela's and is insulated and water resistant. I like the soft shield. It does not make noise and feels more like clothes. What ever you buy you still need to layer your clothes. Lots of good stuff out there $$$ will be your hardest part to part with. You'll need them if your going to fish in Jan and February. Get some and come on out.

Brett, look for something that retains the highest amount of heat while idle. If you sit you cool down fast the high heat retention is the key. Layer up water proof and easy in/out.
A prone heater really helps when your hands are wet

Brett, I wore insulated coveralls for many years and after FINALLY switching to bibs I never looked back. It is MUCH easier putting on/taking off the bibs plus the leg zippers on some pairs will unzip all the way up to your waist. Like already mentioned, don't skimp on getting a good pair if you plan on fishing during cold weather. You will QUICKLY find out if theyre not of good quality and will be sending you back to the truck in no time. Usually I'll layer the top half in sipper hoodies and a carhardt coat. If I'm still cold then it's too cold to go fishing.

Oh yea...I got some decent insulated fleece gloves but mostly just carry a few pairs of brown jersey gloves and switch them out if/when they get wet. If it's real cold I'll put a couple packs of hand warmers in my pockets too.

Brett check out the Cabelas sales in the sale barn on there Webb site. They have some good sales going on on winter clothes. One item I like is there fleece lined jeans. I wear them without long johns and do not get cold. They have a lot of bibs on sale now to.

I used to wear my insulated hunting coveralls from bp $150, they usually did the trick, last year switched to 2 pc bibs and coat from academy like $90 for top $90 for bibs, not really "insulated" but it's rain and wind proof and is easier on and off, and has kept me warm. Though I do wear under armor cold gear bottoms and tops at about $75 a piece, you do get what you pay for.. On top of the u/a bottom n top goes a pair of u/a sweatpants then a u/a long sleeve then a u/a sweatshirt , I Don't get cold. when ou go with Pete in winter time you better be prepared for the long haul,,,easier to take it off than to need it and not have it.

Get a Gortex bib and overcoat. BPS 100mph set is great.

Bibs or overhauls, whatever folks decide, I highly recommend wearing a life jacket too. All that clothing plus heavy boots would make it very difficult to swim if you fell in. I wear a traditional style fishing life jacket as an additional layer to help me stay warm. Stay safe and tight lines!

No mercy when fishing with me. Bibs or not.

The bass pro 100mph set is my best fishing investment ive ever made....10 years later I still have the same set.

Gore tex, we use the Cablea's guide wear suits not complaints best money I've ever spent. Bibs and Parka (little longer)
