Santee Cooper in Feb.

I am thinking of heading to Lake Marion in Mid February and would like any information that could help me. Never fished the Santee Cooper so trying to find a good guide for crappie and/or catfish. Not sure what the fishing would be like in Feb so help me out please

Don't know if Don Drose is still guiding or not. He is the best, in my opinion, I have ever fished with, by far!

Driving down from ky? I hear they have great walleye/sauger fishing in some lakes. I actually wouldnt mind fishing dale hollow in tn also. Are you decided on just fishing santee? I am learning wateree and is a good lake.

Not dead set on Santee...just been doing some research and it seems like a good pick

elishaman, here is a guy you can check with. He is at St Stephen, S.C. Joe Dennis...843-245-3762 This guy has a great reputation. Where his boat is docked there is a Motel and a great restaurant adjoining. Hope this helps, G
