Lake Murray stripers

Went out this morning to give the stripers a shot. I was not finished with the boat so I decided to down rod shiners. I went up above the house and put out the rods. Slow all morning long. I did not see but a couple fish caught. Most boats were pulling planer boards. I wound up catching four with 2 keepers. That was all I wanted to clean just enough for a meal. I am going to try them again Monday but go down the lake and pull planer boards. I installed my striper rod rack when I got home.

Sounds like you had fun with just the four. Glad you were able to get out and fish. Wind is pushing around here with light gust occasionally. I don't want to fool with the traffic to go around to Nivens landing. Maybe Monday I'll get up the nerve to go. Got lots of little stuff to do around the house to keep busy. Fall clean up sucks!

Unc anytime you want to come down give me a shout. You can come down the day before and spend the night so you want have to get up early and make the long drive. I want promise anything but a fishing trip.

Glad you caught some don, two keepers is plenty. Still need to try striper for the first time. Have two in the freezer.
