Decided to launch the boat and run it for a bit around 5:30 pm. Put in on SC upper end. Idled through the trees and headed up a GA creek. Got rods out with minnow in 17 fow. Caught 2 crappie right off the bat.
After less than 10 mins thunder and wind picked up. As fast as could get 10 minnow rods reeled in headed back out of creek. As I got to the mouth of creek I knew gonna be rough ride. The idle back across to SC was in 4-5 ft swells from the wind blowing straight up the riverfront the dam.
Fished the next 2 hrs around brush and ended up keeping a total of 17. No big fish all 10-11"

Sounds like the SS Minnow was tossed about but you made off with a good catch! Thanks for the report

These afternoon storms can sneak up on you. Glad you were able to get back safe and catch a nice mess. They called for no rain today and it is pouring at my house. We need the rain. Thanks for sharing

Doesn't work well trying to idle thru the upper lake Forrest either!!!!! Way too many trees to hit
