Anyone out there with a Tracker Aluminum boat that has installed a recessed trolling motor tray? If so, I would like to hear from you--suggestions, advice, thoughts, opinions, etc. Thinking about putting one in my 2005 Tracker TX 175. Not sure if it will weaken wooden front deck or not. Let me hear from you on this. Back is killing me after a day on the water.

Thanks for your reply. Wasn't sure about structural integrity of the deck after doing it. I noticed at Tracker Marine in Concord that the new ones have it installed. Not sure if they supported under neath it or not.

I'm not familiar with the construction, but you could probably install some bracing on the underside of the floor,( glued and screwed from below) once you get the hole cut. Just a guess
I have a new one for sale..........Tray that is

I don't have a tracker, but Alumacraft told me I could not do it to mine because there is a brace under the deck right there. They also have done it on new ones
Well, i have a 99 tracker 175, my son wants a tray put in it, I hadn't seen underneath the deck, not sure what is under there, I thought you could add the tray to any of the boats?
I hate to ask dumd questions but somebody on c.c said one time there is no dumb question except one that was not ask so hear goes
