I got two grand kids coming over at 7 am, we may try to go out to big Allison. Did you fish the humps below the Island heading to the dam?![]()

i was trying to catch perch in big allison, kept catching crappie, they are around any brush in 15 to 20 feet, did catch some perch in big allison but they were small 4 to 6 inches, looked around in there for 2 hours trying to find some big ones, finally left and went out on main lake found some good one in 12 to 15 foot of water, tried for cats a little while then went to crowders creek, found the perch, big ones too, in 10 foot of water in the back, caught more than we needed and release a lot, they are fun to catch, caught 60 to 70 lost count, then we drifted out of crowders creek trying to catch some cats, the boat traffic got bad, about 1 pm we give up, only 6 channel cats, didn't find any big ones. It got hot , too!!!!! Water temp was 88 early, didn't look at it before I left, but my live well felt like hot water out of the faucet!

Sounds like a good day. Wish this hot weather would pass--old and can't take it anymore! Like the cooler weather for fishing. I know, turned into a "fair weather" fisherman. Glad you had a great time.
