Just rumor and may not be what your talking about! I heard about a paddle boarder in the middle of the river yesterday and a bass boat went by him and he fell in and drowned. I think your suppose to wear a life vest for that type of recreation. If not then they sure should have and especially in the middle of the river. I guess we'll hear soon enough about it. Prayers for the family sent.

I was out there yesterday and saw 2 different paddle boarders , one that morning and one about 3 pm, the one about 3 was having a hard time with the boat wakes that every one was making, it was a mad house out there after lunch yesterday, I could see how that could happen. I thought I was going to get run over a few times myself, yesterday. Thats why I left about 3:30pm!!!!!!!!!

Paper says it was a kayaker that drowned and they recovered the body. Not wearing a life vest. So sad! In little Allison there is a swimmer that swims across the river almost every evening. He'll be next to drown if not run over.

Hate to hear about the kayaker, I don't understand the reason to not wear a lifevest even with the high temps. I know they get hot but it only takes one time of not having it on for something like this to happen. Prayers to the family as I know they are going through hard times right now.
