I don't understand the point of all that. Sounds complicated.

In a few years the herd in SC will be like it is here where I hunt.....hardly worth getting liscenses. I dont see NEAR the deer as I used to since our limits have been 10 does and 2 bucks per year. Rediculous if you ask me. 4-6 deer would be a gracious plenty. You just need to wait until something worth shooting (and cleaning) comes along. Oh well....it's ALL about the dollar nowadays.

Add night scope for raccoon issues in the garden.
We shot it thru 6" of wood block, may be over kill for a raccoon from 100'

Brett, maybe you can trip them up with the long barrel and spear them with the bayonet to save bullets. Bullets cost to much now days. You could fillet them on the spot.

I saw this the other day. I need to read up on it a littler more because I'm still confused on a few things. It won't have any effect on me as I don't kill but 4-5 deer a year and it's very rare that they are all bucks. I don't have any use for antler restrictions at all! I kill enough deer to feed my family off of private land and I'm not a fan of being told how big a deer has to be for me to pull the trigger. Restricting numbers would help the herd but in my opinion the size of buck is irrelevant...

From reading the article it seems you'll get 8 antlerless tags to be used on doe days and then you can buy an additional 4 antlerless tags to be used anytime after sept. 15 so they'll have be different to differentiate between the two. Then you can kill 5 bucks if you purchase the two trophy tags...so that brings your yearly total to 17 deer?!?! Who in the world needs to kill 17 deer a year?

CB that is one of the reasons why I got out of the last club. You had some that it was all about "how many". They had to beat out the other one on the numbers. Heck this one guy if I remember correctly harvested like 13 or 15 and didn't keep a one. He would just bring it back to the club asking if anybody wanted it.
