    Default Minn Kota quick Release

Anybody have the MKA-16-02 or MKA-47? I like The Idea that with Ak-47 you can slide back with launching and stowing boat around docks. How is the MKA-16 which I think you cant move back when stowing or launching boat.

I have the MKA21, which is the puck mount. It is easy to put on or take off, but I like the idea of sliding the motor back, especially when I have to put a cover on the boat. I either have to stretch the cover over the extended motor(does not completely cover) or take the motor off the mount and slide it back on the bow, where it is basically just sitting loose on the boat.
I was not aware of the slide bracket when I got the puck style.

Has anyone had any experience with the New Minn Kota that lowers and raises it's self with a remote...now that's what I'm talking about? I only saw some demo video's...looks impressive...a bit pricy. G

They are pricy but if you are old and disabled like me they are worth there weight in gold. I love mine and would not have any other trolling motor on my boat.

sinkermaker, I am looking hard at it for the same reasons. If you don't mind me asking...what was your cost including installation? Just ball park. You are not far from my home town. I am originally from Edgefield.

GKC, I've had my Ulterra for about a year and love it. Depending on the boat size think about the 112 thrust. Looking back I should have gone with that rather than the 80. I have a 22 ft pontoon

Price around I got mine at the Minkota outlet store. I don't get a kick back. They were offering a cash back deal at one point.
