After church Son-in-law and me got the boat and headed out for a few hours. Started in the staging area it is about 22 feet. Seeing no bait just some fish on bottom or off about 2 feet. Had to get those 1/8th down there. It was slow pickens but got some to bite. Saw hardly any bait in whatchamakalit creek just a few fish. Trolled to the back of creek where their is a big flat starting about 11 feet. Had to keep adjusting speed to keep it just off of the bottom. Trolled back to staging area.
All I did was control the boat and speed for the jigs. Son-in-law did all the catching he did not mine. This is what I call relaxing fishing. Just lay down watch the fishfinder for control. I am starting to like this long line stuff. Learn today about dialing the jigs for depth control for different bottom depths to keep it off of the bottom. All were in the channel.
Did not see the big mommas. Just small fish and a few with some quality. Maybe some females are on the beds. Bite was timid and light had to definite watch poles. Went to other creek and saw same thing so we decided to go home.
Kept 10 crappie
8 perch
3 slimers.
and a green carp in a pear tree. lalalalal.
