Better day today than Saturday

My brother in law Everett and I hit Wylie today around 11:45 AM and fished until I guess 5 PM. Had a lot of perch willing to hit, over 100 caught. We kept 30 large perch and 43 small ones for bait to be given to a catfishing guy that Everett knows. We had 11 crappies and lost several at the top of the water trying to land them without the net. Water temp was 62* along with gusting winds. Rough day but a good day.

I got to get you guys using Flexit Spoons. When you get into a school of perch they will slam a spoon so hard it bout knocks the rod outta your hand. Got my Florida trip next week, but I want to come up to Wylie when I get back. Good job Ron. The crappie look nice.

Nice looking catch, looking at the perch pic it appears you have decided to make it more challenging by not using a hook and lassoing them instead!

Sounds like a banner day to me. Whenever the crappie dont bite the action is filled in with perch. I know you guys enjoyed yourself. Congrats.
