I was expecting ALOT more fishing reports from this weekend so I wasnt going to post. Reason was...there arent any pictures. Well, seeings as things are still pretty quite I'll give my report.
Me and a friend from work went Saturday. We left Elberton at 8AM so we was fishing by 9AM. Things was pretty slow but we did manage picking up a fish every now and then. Ocassionally we'd hit a spot where we'd pick up a double but they were few and far apart. The entire morning went that way but we couldnt complain because what we were catching was some real quality fish. First fish in the boat was a slab weighing 1 lb 12 oz. My friend was pretty happy until a little bit later when I brought one in weighing 1 lb 15 oz. Oh.......we had some talk and a little competition going on now.
We enjoyed the morning talking junk and catching a few fish. My friend's son had a basketball game at 2:30 PM so we called it quits at 1 PM. Final tally was only 17 crappie caught during those 4 hours and all were keepers. I would say we only had 3 fish weighing under a lb. Largest fish came after the Noon hour and she was a fat one going 2 lb 4 oz on the scale, and you guessed it, my friend reeled that one in. Oh well, you cant win 'em all.Cant wait until I'm off work again. I wanna spend a WHOLE day there next time.
