    Default Greenwood today

Met my old buddy big time at Charlie B this morning for breakfast and we went to state park to fish lower end. Rough day of fishing with the wind blowing about 15 mph. Fished the mouth of several big creeks and the only thing willing to bite were perch. I caught 1 striper about 6 lbs and 10 good perch and 1 green carp. Enough for a good meal. Never caught a crappie. Jack says the bite is better on the lower end but you can't prove it by me. The next time I go I am going back to the top of the lake and fish the river. Don

Seems like every clear warm day the wind is howling. Maybe it will settle down before long.

I spent the morning fighting with my trailer bearings. Nothing is ever as simple as it should be. Would rather have been fishing than up to elbows in grease.

Glad you at least got out on the water, and you got a few to keep it interesting. Nice Striper by the way.

Glad you were able to get out, the Gales of Greenwood can really be tough. Hopefully the weather will settle down and the fish will get into a good pattern. Thanks for the report.

I might give it a go in the morning. It looks like the wind may be lighter. Of course you can't believe the weatherman.

A tough day, but a few fish made it to the house. I feel the upper part of Greenwood is best most of the time. If you can't catch any there, it's going to be fruitless to head south toward the dam. The exception would be late spawn, as the deep water creeks warm up last, and during summer when deep brush is the ticket.

Sounds like a good trip to me. You got out, had some fun, ate a good meal, and brought home some fish. Congrats.
