I was out messing around today and stopped by a auction/antique business, found something that caught my eye
Two old fiberglass telescoping jig poles with i'm guessing is a 12 volt coil on the bottom with a 12 volt plug , it had two eyes on the tip that were side by side... They where manufactured here in south carolina, I have never seen anything like them.
These where not home made... Didnt even think to take pictures.. Any ideas's

I dont believe so... it had a label on it that said the name and jigging pole and the town in SC it was made in... I think it was a small town around Santee
When I first noticed them I thought they where just regular telescoping bream busters... seemed strange
My Dad told me stories before of jig fishing with a very short piece of line maybe 12 inches and actually slapping the tip of the pole in the water to attract fish, he didnt call it jigging ... but he never said anything about electric pole either.
I might have to go back and get pics...

Do that if you can if you don't mind. Maybe Tim or Tommy will see this and chime in with an answer since it being around Santee. You fishing this weekend?
I might give em a try Sunday.... It's been too long gotta get out there.

I'm shooting for Sunday as well it's been 2 or 3 weeks probably striper fishing or jigging spoons for perch.
It's been atleast 3 weeks for me... I'm gonna hit a few deep brush piles and see if I can locate a few crappie, If that's a dud I will drop a spoon and put a dent in the perch population![]()

Good Luck! And if your going up 378 you can stop JC's and get good breakfast sandwich. I usually stop there get bait, breakfast and let out at Siesta Cove.
Same to you.... I usually carry a few onion sausage roll ups with me...I usually put in a little farther up at acapulco.

Yeah I want let out there sometime soon only been there once couldn't find it if I tried. lol Plus I've got a buddy that lives right around from Siesta so if I have boat problems or anything he's close. I don't like traveling too far while fishing solo, don't like being stuck. Been there done that.
