Default Stumpy Pond Jan 14 and 16

Water 51 and muddy, jig didn't want to sink in the mud, had to push it down with my pole. Managed to get 11 nice sized crappie, a few dinks, a nice cat, and 1 big perch. Biggest fish were in the 14" range. Went out Saturday and the water was even muddier due to the inch of rain we got Friday. Ended up with 11 crappie again, a little smaller than Thursday, the biggest 8 went 11 lbs So still decent sized. Brought in 1 channel and 2 blues, biggest went 8 lbs. altogether got 27 lbs Saturday. If these pics will show my brother Jon with a slab Thurs and me with a blue Sat

Thanks for the report. Good to know someone still hits stumpy regardless of the conditions.

Those are some nice crappie. Love the part about having to push the jigs down with your rods. Congrats.

forgot to mention, fish holding near ledges right at 20' of water. all caught on minnows, and minnow tipped jigs, drifting

Great catch! Conditions are not pleasant for the fish or the fishermen right now. Glad you and your brother were able to find a nice mess willing to cooperate
Hooking up every chance I get!
