I don't know if Big Mans there at the bridge has herring, he does sell minnows. The number is 803-532-4770 if you want to check. Lake World at the dam and Dooley's in Lexington has them, but they is not close to Black's Bridge.

Is there anyone that sells herring near Blacks Bridge? Gonna be making a trip down next week and was looking for somewhere to pick some up. Thanks guys for any input. Don't really feel like coming down and netting my own.

Mark 1:17 ...I will make you fishers of men
The station by state park has them. Not to terribly far.
Hey Teamhooksetter JC's has herring but I don't if that helps. They are way before Blacks Bridge. You google them and see what you think or facebook them. They are 7.99 a dozen and I think 4.99 a half dozon.
George has bait on the road(state road S-36-26) on the way to Dreher Island state park which is not far out of the way. After you get bait, you can backtrack a couple of miles to get over to the road going to Blacks. His number is 803-873-3258.
Ill check out George also. Does any of y'all know what the conditions are like on Murray after all this rain that we had?
The water is muddy around Black's Bridge (I live on the water in this area). It starts to look better around the Newberry Shores / Spinners area and gets good around Elbow Bend. Hope you get'em !
Thanks satoma. I've never been to Murray before but I'm pretty sure I know where your talking about. I was gonna try to make it down there this weekend to but I think I'm gonna stay close to home since the river flood warnings out for SC and come down next Friday for sure. Hopefully it will clear up before next week.
