Getting an early start is overrated. Sorry for your troubles, but you still managed a decent box of cats, and for that CONGRATS!

I hadn't ever had trouble finding perch on wylie! Till this morning! It's like they disappeared ! I hit 5 or 6 different places that I always find them in and NOTHING! After 2 hours I found some in crawders creek, Then they wouldn't bite good. Then the cats didn't hit good either, it got too hot and at 2 pm I left! 10 cats, nothing over 12 lbs.
I should have known to stay at home, I got up late, jumped in the truck, drove 10 miles, figured out then that I had a flat on the back of truck, had to find some where to get it fixed, thats when i should have turned around and went back home! But I dont give up that easy, I made the best out of it, 9 am getting the first rod in the water. So much for getting up before day light and getting an early start.
