    Unhappy Strikers on Murray

I saw where some members were asking about striper fishing on Murray. Acorrding to the reports I got from Richard at Lakeworld they are not biting at all. Several boats went out this morning, some trolled, some down rodded with live bait and the best that was caught was 3 by one boat. Trolling boats did not have a bite. They are not catching anything around the towers either. Don

Man and I wanted to go this week while on vacation. I guess they have just shut down. Don when they were trolling were they using bucktails, umbrella rigs, plugs or live bait. What is a good plug for trolling for stripers. I know bucktails and umbrella rigs but nothing about plugs. Thanks and thanks for the update.

We used to catch a lot of August stripers on eight inch deep running Rebels. You have to get them down pretty deep this time of year.

85 is the surface temp. Swimming pool temps. It was 87 before we got these last couple of good rains. It's pouring right now. Not enough to raise the lake levels, but more than enough to give the grass a drink. There's a hurricane in the Atlantic. I don't want any wind or damage, but a week of set in rain would be nice.
