    Default Lake Wylie 7-25-15

Raccoon, his new boo, and me went to Lake Wylie yesterday to look for perch. Launched out of Allison Ck around 630am. Fished around Heron Island and mouth of Crowders Creek with no results. Fished Catawba creek with not even a slimer bothering us. Tried some "bream beds" around McDowell park but it appeared that the bream woke up and left. Raccoon's new boo caught a nice channel cat on Raccoon's "whipper" but it broke as she was lifting it up out of the water. Then she caught another nice cat. Raccoon finally squeezed his skunk with a couple dink bream and yellow perch. Went to the redneck yacht club sandbar for a swim. While floating around in my water wings (can't swim) i had my rod in my hands. Caught a big shellcracker, put him in bucket. and was pulled under by a big cat. What scares people as bad as sharks is a runaway cat dragging 100 yds of 4lb line tangling myself and a couple swimmers. Caught a couple more keeper shellcrackers before I got too water logged. Back on trailer at 3:30.
Oh I could wrestle a monster fish

Kind of throwed me off when you said you was swimming with your rod in your hand ,,, then the rest of the story came

Sounds like a interesting time when the cat took off and about dragged everyone around with the line, very interesting report but it does sound like a good time on the lake.
