    Default Cane Creek 7-18

The Raccoon , me, and Raccoon's son PerchJerker35 decided to go to Cane Creek today after having doubts and concerns about being tossed around on Lake Wylie on a busy Saturday in my little, crammed tin freighter. Got to the park before opening but the "kind" ranger opened the gate early for us. Had to wait for the ranger to count tills, raise flag, etc before he could actually let us launch. Hitting the service bell multiple times doesn't guarantee faster service. Got on the water at 7:05 am. Pulled wally marshall's version of capps and coleman rigs plus some flat line rigs. Raccoon caught the first 2 crappie. Had Rango luck with slimers. PJ35 hooked and landed a 13 inch slab. Caught around 40 odd crappie with only 9 being fillet-able size. Best trip in a long time.
Oh I could wrestle a monster fish

Good job Whipper on putting them on some fish.I think its a good day when you can put 40 in the boat at 95 degrees.Did you fish the towers/powerlines? I saw several good fish a fella had last week minnow fishing around them.He tried the swim platform but not too long. This guy usually fishes lake Lee and Monroe..Again good catch and thanks for the report..I woulda been there if I wasnt on call at my work..
