    Default Wylie 6-24-15

Got out just before daylight this morning on Big Allison. I started out with a spoon, hoping for some bass. I was about to move when the bass started breaking on the top. The bass were hiting the spoon just as soon as it hit the bottom in 20 to 25'. Tried some top water plugs without any hits. Caught about 12 good size bass & several large perch on the spoons.

The largest bass that I got in the boat was about 5 lbs. Had another larger fish on, but hook pulled out before I saw what it was. It probally was a striper by the way it moved out.

Also, I caught 3 bass trolling a large crank bait.

Off the water at 9:30, getting hot.

    Default Spoons

I normally use Cotton Cordell spoons(3/4 oz) & War Eagle spoons(1/2 oz). Both the silver & gold work very good. I do change out the hooks to a lighter red treble hooks.

I found the War Eagle spoons at Cabela's & the Cotton Cordell at Walmart.
