Took my wife and kids out Friday evening for a lil fishing and light test. I put some led lights on the pontoon and wanted to test them out. I have to go back to the drawing boards and move the lights a lil bit higher due to the bugs. We anchored up in the mouth of Taylors creek in about 28ft of water and dropped down the lights. We went through about 5 dozen minnows in about a hour and a half. We were looking for crappie and found nothing but white perch. The minnows didn't stand a chance, had to take all rods out of water except the one in our hands and and they were hitting it on the way down every time. We didnt keep any or a count but it was way more than I wanted to clean.

Least it kept the kids busy. When I take my GKs I am happy for anything to keep them interested.
