Default overdue hartwell report april 22 27

laptop decided to die on me so im actually using my boys wii u pad to type this. anyways weather was the big factor at hartwell. really windy and hard to get out of springfield cove where my parents were staying. overall fish total was probably twenty to thirty fish. 5 pound catfish 2 ft long bass were the notable fish. my mom said she lost two one spit the hook after a good fight and the other broke 10 pound test easy. my parents and i were using jigs tipped with redworms. 2 inch curly tail black with chartreuse green and red metal flake tail. i was using my black and green trout magnet. caught three small bass that first day and that turned out to be the best day. fishing shallow all week 8 to 2ft around docks shoals and shoreline. wind was miserable and a few days the rain came down so bad we didnt bother going out even after it stopped. hopefully this may help someone but alot of the fishing was really hinged on the bad weather.

The wind can make it very hard to fish Hartwell. Sounds like y'all were able to pull in some fish so not a total loss. Thanks for the Hartwell report.

Weather aside, being on the water can be a positive, catching fish a big plus. Congrats to you and the family for what you did catch and thanks for reporting.
