late start with the family got on the water at 130. busy day with alot of boat traffic. started at twin rivers right where it joins the main lake. fished the shireline and caught four quick bream with a float and redworms fished in about 1 to 2 ft of water. boat traffic made it hard to keep a good distance from bank so we moved to a quiet cove right above the train tressle with wraparound dock. my little boy reeled in his first fish with his spongebob rod. i was soo proud. how to you post video on here from an iphone id like to share it. anyways in that cove we werent doing anygood. my stepson snagged the bank, i set my rod down beside my foot. i turned to the right to grab his pole and kicked my rod in the water. i was mad but had no one to blame but myself. so if anyone snags an ugly stik gx2 rod over by the bug rock in the back of the cove with the wraparound dock it was mine lol. the joys of fatherhood fishing. cant sit still without someone getting snagged, needing to rebait the hook, the rod twisting at the eye or about getting hooked with an errant cast. my stepson was snagging as fast as i could retie and my son kept crossing our lines with his practice weight tied to his pole. we got back home and my son wanted his pole. hes been casting in the house like crazy. he already wants to go back out. so i got my little fishing buddy. total for the day was ten bream and double the trees caught. lost a fishing rod, a hat a roll of paper towels and everything but the rod was recovered. all in all a good day. hopefully next time i wont kick my rod over the side. water had a good stain to it visibility prob 1ft. dnr was patrolling heavy and pulled over at least five right in front of harris landing at the bridge so make sure you know where everything is at on your boat.
