Finally got a break in the rain so we hit the lake about noon. Never left site on the landing on big Allison. Tried 1 spot for perch but only caught a few small ones. Moved to the north side of the channel & started trolling for crappies going into a big cove but only caught a few perch. Came out of the cove & started trolling up river in 20'. Started catching crappies & some more perch. All but a few of the crappies were larger than 8". We were trolling jigs tipped with minnows. Yellow & chartuse were the hot colors today.

Marked a lot of fish about 12 to18'.

Loaded boat on trailor about 4:30. We caught about 50 crappies, 25 perch & 1 blue cat. Largest crappies were about a pound & half.

Most of the crappies I cleaned were still full of eggs.

Glad you were able to get out and feel the tug of a fish on the end of the line. Thanks for sharing.

Good report Charles, I'd like to get out there tomorrow but got an appointment with the VA at 10 am for hearing aides. Like I'm going to listen to my wife! LOL.
Remus said he had some fish today also crappies and perch! You guys ought to leave a few for us. Thanks for sharing.
Maybe Monday I'll get a few hours in.

Nice report. I might be out there Wednesday. Surprise you did not catch a lot of perch in that cove or on the points of it. Nice place at the mouth of that cove for perch. I seem to catch more on the North side of Allison around the ramp. Or that hump is a great spot also.
