    Default Shore access around Anderson?

Howdy folks. I've just been getting back into fishing this year after a long hiatus, and really for the first time in SC. Any advice or tips for panfish spots around Anderson? Say within a 45min to an hour drive? Places that aren't worth pulling the tackle box out for? No boat so we're talking shore access. I've tried a few spots on Broadway lake with a little success, no luck at the spots I've tried on Hartwell though.

Not looking for anyones secret honey hole, just some direction on good places to get started

You should try some of the State Or Corps Parks as there are a lot of them to pick from all over Hartwell. You will have to pay for a day pass but you will have a lot of shore you can fish while the lake level is down. Besides the parks there isn't much access to the lakes. Good to have you join us here and hope you find some places where you can get on the fish.

There are fishing docks at Broyles landing and twin lakes landing, both have good brush sunk around them. I have caught some nice crappie around the one at Twin Lakes from my boat. Brown rd landing and darwin wright park have fishing piers/docks but I don't know about what you would catch around them. Good luck finding a good spot.

if you follow manse jolly road which is the turn for darwin wright park and go past the park there is an auto shop with alot of room to park. Park you car over there and walk down toward the bridge and fish the cove across the road there. a buddy of mine said his boss caught some nice crappie out of there but he mustve went deep into that cove into the woods because I fished right there where the rocks are and got nothing but snags. Also if you follow manse jolly road all the way down till it ends and hang a right. You can go to harris bridge road and fish under the bridge there. Its part of six and twenty creek and there is alot of brush to fish around down there. havent found the crappie but the bream are in there good. water is shallow. id say maybe four to five foot deep in the middle of the bridge. hope this helps you some.
