Default Wylie 3/31/15 Perch and Crappie this Morning.

If I was a big perch fisherman I would say I killed them this morning Fishing for Crappie out of Big Allison C
caught 17 Perch a couple in the 3 pound range and 3 moderate Crappie. Let the Jig hit the bottom in 25 feet of water then reel up about a foot or two. caught on all colors including black, had 8 poles out.

Get one 3 pounds and you got the state record. LOL Those fish are fun to catch. Glad you got a few and hope you can stay on them for awhile. Did you fish for crappie in shallower water?

Yes the state record is actually under 2 lbs. You guys need to start checking closer to see if you got a record.

Sounds like you had a good day of catching. Some of the perch are getting big so we should see a new record soon. Thanks for the report.

I think I heard the record has to be beat by 3 or more oz. before you can claim it by yourself

any thing to this or just miff

I think they consider it a tie, as with the current perch record which as 1.7 oz. difference. To set a new record I think you are correct that it has to be more than just an ounce or so.
