    Default congaree river??

way back years ago when you could put your boat in at what they called the saw dust pile we would camp on the congaree river usually sometime in April about a mile down stream from the s/d pile and fish for striper == well anything that would bite really ==but striper was main target. my ? is do the striper still run the river like they used to back then? and when would be a good time to go. me and my bro-n-law was thinking about giving congaree one more chance to kill us before we die or get so old and crippled up we cant go. any info would be approached.

Yes, the striper still the run river. The best time is dependent on water flow and tempature, usually mid March thru April. The fishing is not as good as it once was, but from my observations on the lake, the striper populations are are beginning to boom with increased sized limits.
