That's cold!

Lake has ice from one bank to the other in front of the house this morning! Anybody got an ice auger for this weekend? Thinking about seeing if I can find a yellow perch somewhere out there.

As with every other year once we start getting some warm days and the fishing bug gets in our blood Mother Nature always seems to have a way of knocking us back. This year seems to be like all the rest. The spawn is coming and the fish will be biting. But like every other year we will see warm days and cold fronts will continue knocking the fish back from spawning. In the months to come we all will once again begin thinking the fish will spawn deep too. All I can say is go whenever you can stand the weather and you get time away from work to go and give it your best shot. Those hens will be feeding continually maturing those egg sacs as theyre gonna be laying before too much longer.

Crappie Snapper and gang fishing The Cabelas King Kat on Santee this weekend. Been out there since Wed. a.m. hope they survive.

The FLW is on Lake Hartwell this weekend. Theyve been practicing this past week. Brrrrrr.........
