Not sure of the Suzuki myself, but the boat dealer I got my new boat from spoke mighty highly of them. I took the safer route and got me a Mercury. Good luck, I hope it hauls you around for a many a fine trips

Like Gabowman, I've heard nothing but good things. I just bought a new Yamaha. It might have been a Suzuki, but it's a long way from my home to a Suzuki dealer.

Friend of mine just bought a new boat with that 140 zuki on it. Great motor. Runs right beside those 150 and 175's on same boat and a lot lighter. He sold his other boat with a 50 suzuki about 4 years old. He never had one problem and he uses a boat more than most. Everything I have found out is you don't need to worry much about a dealer cause they just don't have problems.

Congrats on the motor! I have been running a Johnson 140 four stroke (i.e., white Suzuki) since 2003. It's been a great engine so far! Quiet, good on fuel, pulls strong, and has always started reliably. I'll definitely look hard at Suzuki next repower. Good motors. If you need parts (filters, etc) I have gotten mine from Browns Point Marine on the web. They have all the Suzuki parts diagrams on line. Hope she gives you many years of great service!

The only bad about Suzuki is finding an authorized dealer to do work on it if needed.
