    Default I Tried

Well I called my buddy this morning that lives on Murray to go fishing and he said "Come on". I loaded everything up and went to the shell station to put gas in the blazer. I left from there and went to the other shell station to fill up the boat with gas(ethanol free). I notice my right trailer tire was wobbling so I checked it out and put air in it. I left the gas station got less than a mile away and noticed it wobbling again. So I told myself that's it not chancing it, I'm going home. No sooner than I thought that the buddy bearing went flying off! So I immediately pulled over to the side and the bearings were shot. So for the next hour and a half I sat on the side of the road making phone calls and waiting on the wrecker. Which the wrecker got there in less than 45 min(not bad), but having to call my wife telling her and my buddy having to tell it again and again. Oh well any way the wrecker followed me to my mechanics shop and we got it there okay. You know I wouldn't know what to do if everything went right with no problems lol but I look at the bright side though I have a full tank of gas for next time . Oh I forgot I have about 3 dozen minnows in my bait tank that the mechanic has to babysit. I was not got going to try to empty that 20 gal tank. So they will spend the night away from home for a couple of nights. The battery has a full charge and they should be okay. I gave them some popcorn and sodas.

Hate to hear of the trouble but it does sound like it worked out OK for you. Good you caught it before the wheel came out the trailer. Good luck to your minnows and hope they can take being away from home

Sorry to hear about your trailer bearing problems. I am not going to tell you what you should have done prior to all this happening as I have had the same thing happen to me on more than one occasion. But I do have a solution if ever this should come up again. Mobile Trailer Repair Services located in Lexington, Johnny Loftis, 803-920-5894 is just a phone call away. I have used him through the years and found him to be honest, dependable and really knows his stuff.

Man, sounds like an eventful attempt to go fish! Could have been a lot worse though. Glad you were able to get it stopped before some serious damage occured.
Hooking up every chance I get!

It's never fun loosing a hub going down the road. Usually dark on the narrow part of the road with no shoulder.
Usually try to carry an extra hub just in case.
One trip the hub cracked and the wheel went shooting out in the desert, the guy didn't have a spare hub so we jacked up the axle and chained it in place to get off the road, luckily it was tandem axle rig
